Import files from your Google Drive. Authenticate via Google OAuth, browse your folders, and select files to sync.

Connecting Google Drive

Google Drive is connected per-user, not per-chatbot. Connect once on the Integrations page.
1

Go to Integrations page

Navigate to Integrations in the sidebar.
2

Click Add on Google Drive

You’ll be redirected to Google’s OAuth consent screen.
3

Sign in and authorize

Sign in with your Google account and grant FIFE.BOT read access to your Drive files.
4

Redirect back

After authorization, you’re redirected back to the Integrations page. Your Google Drive connection appears with your email.

Adding Google Drive as a Knowledge Source

1

Open Knowledge Base tab

Go to your chatbot → Knowledge Base tab.
2

Click Add Source → Google Drive

If you have one connection, it’s selected automatically. If multiple, pick one.
3

Browse and select

A file browser shows your Google Drive folders and files. Navigate to the content you want and select files.
4

Save

Selected files are downloaded, parsed, chunked, and embedded.

Supported File Types

Google Drive sync supports the same formats as document upload:
  • Google Docs — exported as text
  • PDF files
  • Word documents (.docx)
  • Text files (.txt)

Auto-Sync

Google Drive sources are automatically re-synced on a schedule. If you update a file in Drive, the changes are picked up during the next sync cycle.

Managing Connections

On the Integrations page:
  • Rename a Google Drive connection
  • Disconnect — revokes access and stops all syncs

Routing Instructions

Add source-specific context for Google Drive files. Example:
“These are product specification sheets. Include model numbers and compatibility information when referencing this source.”
